Getting the best Freeview experience

Installation
Simply plug your existing TV aerial in to your digital TV or Freeview box.
Setup
Most Freeview boxes come with an automatic set up feature that will automatically find the stations you can receive.
Retune
To ensure you get all the latest channels on Freeview it's important to retune your box. Don't worry it's simple.
- Press menu on the remote control
- Select set-up installation or similar option. If you're asked for a password the default code is 1234 or 0000
- Select 'first time installation' option (sometimes called 'factory reset', 'full retune' or 'default settings'.) Press 'OK' if your equipment asks if it's ok to delete existing channels.
Reception
Your reception of Freeview depends on your location and may be affected by:
- The signal to your aerial being obscured by trees or buildings or weakened by bad weather
- Your aerial not being pointed in the right direction
To make sure you get the best picture quality possible we recommend:
- 1. Connecting TV equipment with scart cables
- 2. Using good quality RF cables if you don’t have scart cables
If you still have poor reception an aerial upgrade maybe required in which case you should get in touch with one of the following: The Confederation of Aerial Industries (CAI) www.cai.org.uk or the Independent Digital Standards Commission (IDSC) www.idsc.uk.com who can give you details of one or more aerial engineers who operate in your area).
